Projector Setup – Setup once and then forget it.
Even though you might have used this projector and laptop/PC before, it’s still important that you check everything before every setup. Getting you projector setup right, will give you more confidence about your upcoming presentation.
Some steps to follow when checking your projector setup:
1.Check that the laptop/PC and projector are switch off before trying to make setup any connections.
2.Then locate the video cable – and then connect the one end to the projector “computer in" port and the other end to the video port on the laptop/PC.
3.See that both ends are connected properly and tighten the connections if necessary.
4.Connect the mouse to the laptop/PC mouse port, should you use the mouse for a remote control. If your projector has an infrared remote, make sure the unit is in place and that it is setup to send and receive the signal.
5.Locate the audio cable and connect the audio cable that comes with the projector to the audio out port the laptop/PC and on the audio in port on the projector. Also make sure that these connections are tight.
6.Now switch on your laptop/PC and projector, and again check all connections to ensure that there are no loose connections. And then go through your presentation to make sure everything works as it should do, and that the sound is set to the right level (should there be any). It is necessary for the sound to be louder should you do the presentation to a bigger group.
Some additional tips:
1.Always try and to a “test run" of your presentation to make sure the device has been connected properly and to ensure all other technical aspects are ready.
2.Make sure you are prepared for possible power outages, by having batter backup for both the laptop and projector.
3.Then try to be calm before your presentation.
